Daily activity:


Thursday: water temp 68.9 N 8-11mph in the a.m. / 70.9 WSW 7-10mph in the p.m. Jeff S decked a nice Black Drum and Jack got a slot Red.. There were also Red Drum, Spadefish, Bluefish and Pompano caught. Some baitfish were around for live bait.

 

 


 

 

Friday: water temp 69.6 NE 5-7 in the a.m. / 70.7 W 7-9mph in the p.m. The water was clean. There were a couple of Flounder, a Needle fish and a Wrasse. There were a few cigar minnows.


Saturday: water temp 69.9 NE 6-8mph in the p.m. / 70.7 SW 6-8mph in the p.m. The water was clean. It was a slow day with only a couple of Spanish Mackerel and a few Flounder caught. There were a few Cigar Minnows.


Sunday: water temp 69.6 W 15-20mph in the a.m. / 71.2 W 12-15mph in the p.m. The water was clean. There were several King Mackerel caught in the morning. Hachid caught on very early and had to pop it off due to no gaff available. Jose got there and decked one. There were a few Spanish Mackerel Flounder and a small Pompano. There were more Kings in the afternoon. They were skying on lures. Dom, Danny and Brenda were among the anglers decking fish. Most were “schoolies”. There were a few Cigar Minnows around for live bait.

 


 

 

Monday: water temp 70.9 NNE 7-9mph in the a.m. / 71.2 WSW 6-8mph in the p.m. The water was clean. There was a good King Mackerel bite early a.m. There were only a few anglers on the pier, and several caught more than one. There were about 15 Kings decked, all in the teens and all by 08:30. Here’s an example Steve caught. There was some live bait available.

 

 


Tuesday: water temp 70.0 ENE 9-12mph in the a.m. / 71.1 S @5mph in the p.m. The water was clean. A majority of the day was dead. There were a few Spanish Mackerel, baby Sharks, Needlefish and of coarse Remora. The highlight of the day was Allen hooked a Mako Shark on his King rig. He got several nice jumps and a good run before it broke off. 


Wednesday: water temp 70.5 NE 5-7mph in the a.m. / 72.0 WSW 6-7mph in the p.m. Slow day with a few Flounder. Marita netted a nice one.

 

 


Red Tide status: INorthwest Florida over the past week, the red tide organism, Karenia brevis, was observed in 14 samples collected from Northwest Florida. Bloom concentrations (>100,000 cells/liter) were not observed. We continue to use satellite imagery (USF and NOAA NCCOS) to help track nearshore and offshore conditions. Imagery from November 13 revealed slightly elevated chlorophyll levels in Northwest Florida in Bay County, Gulf County (St. Joseph Bay), and Franklin County
